Sneak Peek! Candler Park Tour of Homes

By: Danielle Clockel

The Candler Park Tour of Homes is next weekend, and we are so excited about people coming to our neighborhood to see its charm and personality, especially since our very own Stephanie Andrews’s home is featured! Let us give you a special sneak peek into her curated abode.

A deep purple velvet sofa (refurbished from a vintage find) rests atop a lush Moroccan rug in the light-filled living room.

A striking staircase with glossy black trim frames a boldly wallpapered curved wall.

It doesn’t get more dramatic than all black. We’re especially gushing over the mosaic floor tile hugging that curb. (Swoon!)

This petite breakfast setting is softly bathed in window light — the perfect spot for morning coffee.

Want to see this and many other amazing, enigmatic homes on the tour next weekend? We know you do! You can purchase tickets here — get ’em before they’re all snatched up!

A Blogger’s List: 4 Interior Design Blogs You Can’t Miss

By: Stephanie Andrews

As bloggers, we are constantly searching for new inspiration, fresh looks, and unique experiences. The best approach to this search is to turn to other blogs and examine their voice, style, and message. When I find a blog I like, it’s almost like making a friend — I feel a connection to what inspires and motivates the blogger. Below are some of my current blog obsessions.

Sweet Peach: As an Atlanta blogger, Sweet Peach is a blog that is near and dear to our hearts. Pamela Berger is everywhere around town, and she features local artists that we have personally fallen in love with. Her spotlight on artists is unique in that it doesn’t just feature beautiful art, but the actual person and what makes them tick. We are crazy about her quarterly newspaper that usually includes a delightfully illustrated map of Atlanta.

San Francisco Girl by Bay: A modern bohemian lifestyle blog that is run by women (like us!). We especially love the topics of discussion: art on walls, ink on paper, textile and wall coverings, style and fashion, etc. Victoria, the founder, is positive, fresh, and we feel a kinship to her authentic artistic style.

myscandihome

My Scandinavian Home: This London girl in Sweden features the most elegantly airy Scandinavian interiors in shades of white and grey. (Reading her blog reminds me of our own Elisabeth Paulson, who might just be her twin separated at birth.) Reading her blog makes us want to paint our hardwoods white, our chairs blue, and sweep the floor a little better.

thejungalowblog

The Jungalow: A different kind of bohemian, Justina Blakeney’s blog leans more vintage and eclectic. Her rooms are edgy, colorful, and multi-cultural, yet still comfy and full of plants. Her carefree vibe empowers us to experiment with our boldest ideas, and that’s what makes her so relatable.
